Frequently Asked Questions

How do the courses work?
Once you’ve purchased your course(s), you’ll receive everything you need to get started—your theory manual, step‑by‑step guides, video tutorials, and both theory and practical overview forms. These will be provided in PDF, Word, and standard media formats. You’ll also be paired with a qualified tutor who will reach out to you and support you throughout your learning journey.

I don’t have a device that supports PDF, Word, or media files. Can I still complete the training?

Absolutely. Just let your tutor know, and together you’ll decide on a simple alternative that works for you.

What are accredited courses, and why are they beneficial?
In the UK, an accredited course has been fully checked and approved by a recognised professional organisation. This means the content, teaching quality, and learning outcomes meet high industry standards. You’ll receive a qualification that is both credible and widely recognised.
All of our courses are accredited by ABT (Association of Beauty Therapists), one of the UK’s leading organisations for beauty and nail industry insurance and membership.

Is there a time limit to complete my course?
Not at all. Our courses are completely self‑paced, giving you the freedom to learn, practice, and build confidence in your own time without any deadlines.

Can I purchase multiple courses at the same time?
Yes, you can—and many students do! We also offer discounts when you buy multiple courses. If you’re planning to offer a variety of services or start your own nail business, having several qualifications can really boost your confidence and help you attract more clients.

If I purchase more than one course, do I need to repeat duplicate modules?
If you’ve already completed a course with us, you won’t need to redo shared modules such as health and safety, nail anatomy, or legislations. You’ll only focus on the new material.
If it has been more than six months since your last course, we may ask you to complete a quick refresher of these sections - just to make sure your knowledge is still up to date and you feel fully confident moving forward.

As a total beginner, which courses are best to start with?
We recommend beginning with our UV gel manicure and pedicure courses. These give you a strong foundation in essential techniques and knowledge, making it much easier to progress into other nail systems and advanced services.

Which other courses can beginners take with no previous qualifications?
Our builder gel, hard gel, and acrylic nail system courses are all designed with beginners in mind—no experience needed. We do suggest having some basic UV gel polish experience before taking our nail art certification, but it isn’t a requirement.

Do any courses have entry requirements?
Yes. To move on to infills/re‑balance, nail extensions, or e‑filing, you’ll need to complete one of our beginner nail system courses first (builder gel, hard gel, or acrylics). You can still purchase these advanced courses at the same time and start them as soon as your beginner qualification is finished.

What if I already have a builder gel, hard gel, or acrylic certificate from another provider?
We accept most certificates that are recognised by UK accreditation bodies. If you’re unsure, feel free to get in touch before purchasing - we’re happy to help.

Which products are covered in the nail extensions course?
Our nail extensions course supports whichever structure‑type system you prefer to work with, including builder gel, hard gel, or acrylic. Any beginner system you’ve completed with us will be recognised.
This means you don’t have to take separate extensions courses for each product, saving you both time and money - plus you’ll receive a dedicated nail extensions certificate, which many training providers don’t offer.

If there are no formal exams, how do I gain my certification?
Instead of traditional tests, you’ll submit photos and step‑by‑step evidence of your work throughout the course. Your tutor will give personalised feedback and guidance at every stage. Once you both feel confident in your progress and results, your certificate will be awarded.

Will I need to repeat any practical tasks?
Only if needed. If just a few small improvements are required, your tutor will simply guide you for future practice. You’ll only be asked to redo a task if something is noticeably holding you back or if you feel you’d benefit from more practice before moving on.

How will I receive my certificate?
Digital certificates are included with your course(s). If you’d like printed copies, we can arrange this for £20 each to cover external printing costs.

Can I apply for professional insurance after completing my course?
Yes. Once you’ve finished your training, you’ll be able to apply for UK professional indemnity insurance. We can also offer you a 10% discount on ABT insurance memberships if you decide to join them.
